MINISTER OF TRANSPORT INAUGURATES NEW GOVERNING BOARD FOR GCAA
The Minister of Transport, Mr. Joseph Bukari Nikpe, on Wednesday, 2 July 2025, inaugurated a new Governing Board for the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). The ceremony took place at the sector ministry in Accra. The 9-member Board is chaired by former Director-General of the Authority, Ing. Simon Christopher Molai Allotey.
The Eight other members of the Board include:
- Rev. Stephen Wilfred Arthur (Ag. Director-General, GCAA)
- Group Capt. Fiifi Adu Boadu (Ghana Airforce)
- Capt. Nathaniel Kojo Anderson (Pilot)
- Mrs. Linda Assibi Awuni (Geological Engineer)
- Madam Eunice Grant (Entrepreneur/Administrator)
- Mrs. Mabel Sagoe (Chief Director of the Ministry of Transport)
- Hon. Alhaji Alhassan Mumuni (MP, Salaga North)
- Okatakyi Komeh VIII (Paramount Chief of the Komenda Traditional Area) in the Central Region.
At the swearing-in and inauguration ceremony, the minister expressed confidence in the new Board given the calibre of its chairman and members. He urged them to deliver their mandate in accordance with the president’s vision for Ghana’s aviation sector. For his part, Board Chairman Ing. Allotey thanked the President and the Minister for the confidence reposed in the new Board and promised to collaborate with the GCAA Management to realise its objectives.
