GCAA and Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology Confer on Joint Aviation Training Programmes
At a meeting in Accra today with Mr. Stephen Vella (right), General Manager of Gateway to Industry at the Malta College of Arts, Science, and Technology (MCAST), GCAA Director-General Ing. Simon Allottey stressed the aviation regulator’s commitment to human capacity development.
Mr. Vella highlighted areas of possible collaboration between GCAA and MCAST, a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certified training institution, such as aerospace engineering, aircraft maintenance and avionics.
Ing. Allottey acknowledged the crucial importance of partnership to the sustainability of the aviation industry, noting that the Ghana Civil Aviation Training Academy (GATA), an International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) TRAINAIR PLUS Associate Member with students from across West Africa, provided avenues for such cooperation.
The two leaders agreed for GCAA and MCAST to further engage and sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishing the framework for mutual partnership.
