ITS TRAINING COURSE ENDS IN ACCRA

About twenty five (25) participants drawn from Ghana, Guinea and Gambia have undergone an a two-week Inspector Training Systems Course at the Ghana Civil Aviation Training Academy (GATA).

It is a comprehensive Training Programme with an aim to establish and maintain a training system that provides up-to-date, performance-based training to meet the evolving, real-time needs of the workforce and the aviation industry.

The training is a requirement in fulfillment of “ICAO’s Critical Element Four (4):-Qualification of Technical Personnel” aimed at equipping participants with the basic relevant skills required from an Aviation Safety Inspector.

In a congratulatory message at the end of the training, the Director-General of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, Air Cdre Kwame Mamphey said GCAA will ensure recurrent training courses for inspectors as per the need. He was hopeful the other CAA’s would do same as such programmes benefit the individual, their CAA and eventually the traveller.

At the training were two (2) Instructors and an Observer all from the United States as well as the Executive Director of BAGASOO.
