GCAA LADIES ASSOCIATION DONATES TO KIDNEY DIALYSIS PATIENT The Ladies Association of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has put a smile on the face of a Level 200 University student, Master Richard Abbey by donating an amount of Six Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢6,000.00) towards his kidney treatment which is estimated to cost around eighty thousand Ghana Cedis (¢80,000.00) as indicated by a medical certificate from the Kidney Dialysis Unit of the Korle-bu Teaching hospital. The donation, according to Mrs. Anita Nmashie, the president of the GCAA Ladies Association, forms part of the association’s Corporate Social Responsibility for the year. She said, upon hearing about the plight of Master Richard Abbey, members of the association decided to forego their annual end-of-year party and rather donated the money towards, Richard’s kidney treatment through the La Bethel Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Nmashie also thanked management of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority for contributing towards the cause. She went on to appeal to other organizations, institutions, and all well meaning Ghanaians to donate towards saving the life of Master Richard Abbey. Members of the La Bethel Presbyterian Church who were there to support Richard, a member of their church, said, the gesture touched them and showed that there are people in the world who do their best to alleviate the sufferings of others. |
